FAQ's

How easy is it to change accountants and why should I change?

If your current accountant provides a proactive service at a fair fee, it may make sense to stay with them. However, different accountants offer different levels of tax planning, business advice and service. If you are not getting the support you want, changing to us is very easy. It usually involves just one letter of authority from you, and we take care of everything else. Your existing accountant is not normally allowed to charge for providing standard handover information.

Are your fees expensive?

No. We offer fixed fees agreed in advance and linked to the value of the work we provide. While we are not always the cheapest, we offer excellent value for money and never start work without agreeing fees first. This means there are no surprises and you always know where you stand.

I’ve just had my accounts done. Is there any point contacting you now?

Yes. Effective tax planning works best when done early, not as a last-minute exercise. Ideally, planning should happen before the year starts, but the earlier you act, the more opportunities there are to save tax. We focus on shaping your future, not just reporting what has already happened.

Will you visit us for an initial consultation?

Yes. We are happy to visit your business to better understand how you operate and review your books and records. This initial meeting is provided free of charge. If you prefer, you are also welcome to visit us at our office or meet online.

How soon can you come to see us?

Whenever it suits you. Let us know a convenient time and we will do our best to accommodate you. If your matter is urgent, we can usually arrange a meeting very quickly.

Are your fixed fees guaranteed for more than one year?

We do not offer low first-year fees and then increase them sharply. Our aim is to build long-term client relationships. We quote a fair fee based on the value and scope of the work and would normally only apply standard inflationary increases if the work remains the same. In some cases, where the work is clearly defined, we can guarantee fees for more than one year.

How do I know you will deliver what you promise?

We pride ourselves on providing the high level of service we promise. Our approach is built on long-term relationships, transparency and trust. We also back our service with a risk-free guarantee, and you are welcome to speak with existing clients to hear about their experience of working with us.
